Kathmandu : Flights from Tribhuvan International Airport to the various districts in Tarai and remote areas have been affected due to thick fog. The flights towards Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Janakpur, Simara, Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj, among others have been affected for the past two days. Though domestic flights have been affected due to thick fog, international flights are operating as usual, according to Airport office.
Spokesperson of Tribhuvan International Airport, Dev Chandra Lal Karna, said that unfavourable weather has disrupted flights towards the most of destination of Tarai. He shared that out of 88 flights towards Tarai and hilly areas on Monday, 40 flights were cancelled. There is a schedule of 88 domestic flights today.
Passengers have been facing problems due to cancelling of flights of different airlines including Buddha Airlines, Yeti Airlines and Shree Airlines. Flights scheduled at most of the destinations of Tarai areas have not been able to take place even today due to bad weather.
