Kathmandu: The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to organize its statute convention from February 13-15.
A meeting of the party’s standing committee held at the party headquarters in Parisdanda today decided to hold the statute convention, CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice Chairman and Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota confirmed.
According to Sapkota, the meeting also fixed the basis for the selection of the convention representatives.
Today’s meeting also discussed the issues of unification bids with the likeminded political forces.
Sapkota stated that a unity coordination committee under the coordination of Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has been formed.
During the meeting, party chairman and Prime Minister Prachanda briefed the standing committee members about the country’s overall situation.
Likewise, all 10 in-charges of the party’s province committees also shared the recently concluded 4-month-long campaign of the CPN (Maoist Centre).
