Kathmandu : In a bid tosettle the disputes plaguing the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) for quite a while, Prime Minister and chairman KP Sharma Oli, another chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and senior leader of the party Madhav Kumar Nepal held a discussion today.
The meeting was held at PM’s residence, Baluwatar, according PM’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa.
Earlier, the leaders including Chairman Dahal and senior leader Nepal had met at Dahal’s residence at Khumaltar today itself.
The top leaders have differing views on coordination within the party and between government and party, management and treatment of COVID-19, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact, among others.
The top leaders have been holding meetings by postponing the ongoing meeting of the party standing committee.
The standing committee meeting has the pending agenda of concluding the remaining activities of party unification.
But the meeting has been put off time and again. It is scheduled for tomorrow.
The standing committee meeting begun on June 24 was postponed last time after the loss of lives and properties in various districts including Sindhupalchowk in the wake of torrential rain a week back.
The top leadership since then urged the party leaders and cadres to devote to rescue and relief distribution.
